we believe that, in order to prevent and treat injuries, it is essential that a personalised strength and stretching program be provided to you in order to correct any underlying biomechanical abnormalities that may be contributing to your injury.
Case study
Roy runs 2-4 times per week
. He came to see us at Sports Feet, complaining of pain in his Achilles tendon region. On examination, by the Physiotherapist, Roy was diagnosed with Achilles Tendonitis.
Roy then under went gait analysis which identified the following issues:
Excessive foot pronation (rolling in)
Tight calves
Reduced calf strength
Incorrect foot ware
Poor hip stability

we take an wholistic approach to injury management to get the best results for our customers. Roy’s treatment included the following:
Prescription of a running orthotics
prescription of a personalised strength and stretching program, targeting his calf and hip strength and flexibility
Physiotherapy treatment (deep tissue massage, ultrasound and interferential therapy) to reduce his pain and muscle tightness

Roy was back to his normal running routine, pain free!
