From the gait analysis it is decided whether or not you would benefit from the prescription of custom made orthotics.

At Sports Feet we use a technique that is used nowhere else in Australia to produce custom made orthotics.

The traditional way of making orthotics is to cast the foot in plaster while sitting or lying prone, in other words in a non weight bearing position. At sports feet our orthotics are heat molded to your feet in a more natural weight-bearing stance.

During the heat molding stage your feet and lower limbs are positioned so as to correct abnormal biomechanics and to ensure good lower limb alignment.

Step one

You stand on the high definition silicon bags, whilst your feet are manipulated into a neutral position. An exact imprint of you feet is formed.

Step two

The orthotics are heated under pressure and any additional support required is added.

Step three

The heated orthotics are place into your foot print whilst you stand on them (in a neutral position), until the orthotics hardens.

Step four

Final adjustments are made, and your orthotics are inserted into your shoes ready to be used! It must be noted that if extra support is required this process may take several days.
